Looking Into the Future of the Tribe

Published by babos at 5:15 pm under Cleveland Indians Edit This

As I sit back and think about it more so, it has to do with what is going to happen to the Tribe.  Will there be an effort made to keep some of their key players or will it be that never-ending cycle of getting rid of players that are doing well continue?  By now, that would be expected to happen and could see those players end up winning World Series rings possibly.  With that, it always leads to why not Cleveland win one?  Would it be wrong to want it to happen?  I do not think so.

I believe if they are going to win one, they had better do so now.  Time is running out before you know it, your best players will be gone and will continue a never-ending cycle of building talent up only to be traded away.  I do not like that at all and would rather try to go for the win and have it all.  Winning a division title is good and getting to the World Series is better but the whole thing is the best item to have.

I wonder if the future will see some changes overall.  I can see Shapiro eventually being removed if any more mistakes are made and Wedge I don’t know if he’ll make it past this upcoming season for the Indians if they fail to make the playoffs again.

The Indians have the talent to get in the playoffs, it’s just a matter do they have enough that can lead them to the World Series?  Would I like to see them win it all?  Of course I would.  That would put them as a great team and could bring some respect back to Cleveland.  I still personally believe that as long as the Indians fail to win one, they will get no respect nor will they get any credit of putting together a solid team.  It will always get thought of as a fluke franchise.

The time for play is now and if the Indians are going to make some serious changes to be true World Series contenders, they need to do so.  Solve the pitching rotation and figure out how you want to do it this year.  Don’t build a team for years that never happen, go for the win and take it to the World Series.  Only then, you will not hear much on the complaints about how this team doesn’t do enough to win.  The ball is in Cleveland’s court.  It is up to them to decide what type of team they are.  Winners or just a glorified minor league team.  I hope they choose winners because is something needed big time.
